ST. HELENA, Napa County — November 4, 2026. Bonnie Schoch held an early lead in the St. Helena mayoral race against Patrick Kenealy, while voters also considered two council seats and a proposal to increase local sales tax.
Mayor: overnight vote
KQED’s results dashboard at 1:10 a.m. November 4 reported 744 votes (69.3%) for Bonnie Schoch and 329 (30.6%) for Patrick Kenealy. It is an incomplete count, not a certified mayoral election outcome.
Two City Council seats
Daniel Hale had 508 selections (28.8%), Joshua Parke 463 (26.2%) and Scott Diaz 356 (20.1%) among the leading council candidates. The remaining two candidates were also on the ballot, and the council totals should not be interpreted as a one-seat election.
Measure S: a separate sales-tax vote
The city’s existing California58 explanation of Measure S covers the proposed half-cent sales-tax increase. KQED’s 1:10 a.m. tally showed 630 yes votes (57.5%) to 465 no (42.4%). It requires a majority. These votes concern the tax proposal, not a candidate for office.
The county registrar will certify the election following further mail and provisional ballot processing. Residents can follow official Napa County results.
All figures are the unofficial 1:10 a.m. November 4, 2026 snapshot.
