ST. HELENA, Napa County — Residents thinking about water-saving upgrades can check several city incentive programs before purchasing household equipment or reworking a landscape.
St. Helena’s Water Conservation and Rebates page lists a one-time residential water-filter incentive of $150. It also describes a toilet retrofit program with up to $300 per qualifying toilet and a residential weather-based irrigation-controller program with a maximum rebate of $500. Eligibility and equipment requirements vary by program.
Why requirements matter
Some programs specify fixture performance standards, limits on the number of eligible replacements, a building permit or documentation from the property owner. The city also describes incentives for turf conversion, greywater, rainwater harvesting and other improvements. Listed amounts are maxima or program offers; they are not automatic payments to every applicant.
Check before you spend
Read the latest application and eligibility rules, confirm whether funding remains available, and ask city staff about permits before hiring a contractor or buying equipment. Retain receipts and any approvals. A small amount of preparation can prevent a rejected rebate request.
